Bekki & Rob : A Rainy Autumn Wedding at Rhinefield House Hotel, New Forest

Updated: May 19, 2020

Bekki and Rob chose the stunning Rhinefield House Hotel for their special day, a glorious country house estate nestled in the depths of the New Forest National Park. No one who attended could have guessed the Bride and Groom bravely gave themselves just 6 weeks to plan their perfect day. And whilst the big day itself was extremely rainy and windy, Rhinefield House 's beautiful interior architecture and decor meant the weather couldn't put a dampen on the festivities, although I did have to cancel my planned New Forest hike for the next day!

We started the day with Bekki and her super friendly bridal party getting ready; Rosie, Jenn and Georgie were some of the most helpful bridesmaids ever, from doing Bekki's makeup, to overseeing the flipping of the breakfast room on the day and even hand drawing all of the romantic signs scattered around the venue. The Bridal parties hair was created by the uber talented Carla from Beautiful Events Hire, with Bekki's hair also styled with help from the Mother of the Bride, Val. When it was time to put on the dress by Anya Bridal Couture we moved to the stunning Bridal Suite where we also captured the first look from the Father of the Bride that caused tears all round.

The ceremony was held in the Keepers Room followed by a drinks reception in the Kings Room, with an intimate guest list of just 25. Rob's daughter Arabella and niece Maise did an amazing job as the flower girls, and the gorgerous flowers themselves were designed and created by Wildbunch florist. After the ceremony we took the lovely group shoots in the regal window of the Grand Hall, with Bestman Oli as my helpful people wrangler. The traditional wedding breakfast was replaced by a fabulous Afternoon Tea followed by touching speeches from the Father of the Bride and the Groom.

For the couples portraits we did our best to overcome the restrictions of the weather - not even my trusty bridal umbrellas could have survived that wind - and we found some lovely secluded spots within the hotel including a beautifully lit secret stairwell and an indoor archway that gave the impression of being outside whilst staying dry! Bekki and Rob were a fantastic couple to photograph and just radiated happiness, making this part of the day one of my favourite times. Also on hand to capture the day was friendly videographer Colin from the Hampshire Studio who was with us all the way from the ceremony to the first dance.

The evening was a larger affair with 80 plus guests and included the traditional first dance and cake cut, with the cake having been created by the Grooms super talented Aunt. The evening brought lots of laughter, drinks and dancing; all the best types of merriment! I left the Bride and Groom at 10 pm surrounded by family and friends and couldn't have imagined a more perfect day.

Thank you again Bekki and Rob for allowing me to capture your day for you, and to all your friends and family who made me feel so welcome. I really hope you treasure your photos for years to come and I wish you all the happiness in the world in your marriage together.

Love Annie x
